Macao Public Library of IC expands online services Group Discussion Room reservation now available via Macao One Account for four libraries
MACAU, August 12 - In support of the Macao SAR Government’s push for e-government and to enhance the smart applications of public services, the Macao Public Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguse acronym) has expanded its online reservation services. Effective immediately, a new Group Discussion Room reservation function for the Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, Patane Library, Bairro da Ilha Verde Library, and Seac Pai Van Library has been added to the Macao One Account platform. Residents can now reserve public library venues/facilities online without the need to visit in person or book by phone.
Through the Macao One Account website or mobile application, residents may check the available time slots, venue status, and rules of use for the Group Discussion Rooms at the above four public libraries, and complete the online reservation as per the system instructions. Successful applicants are required to arrive on time at the selected venue for the booked session and abide by the Public Library’s rules of use.
The Group Discussion Rooms at the Public Library are suitable for group discussions, reading clubs, association meetings, and study exchanges. The Cultural Affairs Bureau will review the implementation and usage demand to continuously optimise various facilities and system functions, providing the public with a more user-friendly experience in accessing cultural resources.
