HIVEX Enables 48 Million Binance Pay Users to Shop at PayPay Merchants Across Japan

SUNNYVALE, CA, UNITED STATES, September 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- TBCASoft, the developer of the HIVEX^®️ payment network, announces that Binance Pay will go live across merchants enabled by the HIVEX-partner PayPay, starting on September 29, 2026 (U.S. PT).

Eligible overseas Binance Pay users can make transactions at PayPay merchants in Japan for travel and everyday spending needs, including food and beverages, shopping, accommodation, entertainment, and other in-person purchases. The service supports both merchant-presented QR code payments (MPM) and customer-presented QR code payments (CPM), allowing users to pay in familiar QR-based payment methods at PayPay merchants.

For travelers, the experience is designed to be simple: open the Binance App, scan or present a QR code where PayPay acceptance is available, pre-select your payment option from over 100 supported cryptocurrencies, confirm the payment, and complete the transaction. For merchants, the transaction remains compatible with local acceptance and settlement arrangements, with PayPay merchants receiving sales proceeds in Japanese yen.

This launch builds on the strategic cooperation between HIVEX and Binance Pay* announced earlier this year, connecting Binance Pay’s global user-side payment ecosystem with HIVEX-enabled merchant acceptance partners through a scalable, network-level interoperability model. Binance Pay provides access to approximately 48 million users across more than 100 countries and regions, while HIVEX provides the cross-border payment framework, merchant-side connectivity, and interoperable operating model needed to support compliant merchant payments across local markets.

This Japan launch also demonstrates how HIVEX can connect global payment ecosystems with local merchant networks while preserving the roles and responsibilities of each participant. Binance Pay manages the eligible user relationship and user-side controls, while merchant acceptance and settlement are supported through HIVEX and its participating local acceptance partners in accordance with applicable local payment and compliance arrangements.
